Tesla and Spacex CEO Elon Musk has been actively engaging with Twitter users over the social media platform’s stance since he took a 9.2% stake in the company and promised “significant improvements” to the platform. Communicate potential improvements.

One idea he discussed on Twitter was about authentication checkmarks. Musk suggested that everyone who signs up for the Twitter Blue subscription service and pays $3 a month should get a certified checkmark.

Twitter Blue is a monthly subscription service that launched last June. It is currently available in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. “An active Twitter Blue subscription gives you access to advanced features, such as undoing tweets,” Twitter explained. Blue subscribers have 20 seconds to edit their tweets before sending them.

Regarding Twitter Blue’s price with a certified checkmark, the Spacex boss clarified: “The price should probably be around $2 per month, but 12 months upfront, accounts don’t get a checkmark within 60 days (note CC refunds) & if used for scam/spam, will be suspended with no refund.” He noted that if the user unsubscribes, the checkmark “should go away, otherwise scammers will trick the system by only signing up for a few months.”

Musk also said the certification checkmark “should be different from [a] ‘Public Figure’ or ‘Public Account’ check mark. “

Tesla CEO’s suggestion of DOGE payment pushes up Dogecoin price. At the time of his tweet, DOGE was trading at $0.144240. At the time of writing, it has gained 8.45% to $0.156430.

Dogecoin supporters are happy to hear that Musk is backing their coin again, seeing the move as very bullish. Tesla executives are sometimes called godfathers in the crypto community.

Musk previously revealed that he personally owns bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH) and dogecoin (DOGE), noting that he will not sell any coins. Earlier this month, he shared a Dogecoin video, saying it “explains everything.”

He believes that Bitcoin is more of a store of value, while Dogecoin is the best cryptocurrency to trade. He has said before that Dogecoin is the people’s cryptocurrency. His electric car company Tesla currently accepts meme cryptocurrencies for certain goods.
