Today's Top Ethereum and Bitcoin Mining Devices Continue to Rake in Profits

As the value of the crypto economy hovers below $2 trillion, application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) mining rigs are raking in handsome profits. While ASIC miners can still mine Ethereum, a 1.5 gigahashes (GH/s) Ethash mining rig can make $51.58 a day in profit. SHA256 Bitcoin miners are able to process up to 110 terahash and earn $13.74 in Bitcoin profits per day.

The price of Bitcoin (BTC) is still down around 40% as the crypto asset’s all-time high (ATH) and Ethereum (ETH) are down 37% against the U.S. dollar since the cryptocurrency’s ATH. Despite the drop in value, Bitcoin and Ethereum miners are still earning substantial profits as both the networks’ hash rates hit ATHs in 2022.

Bitcoin’s hash rate has been consistently above 200 exahash per second (EH/s), while Ethereum’s hash rate is 1.12 petahash per second (PH/s). In mid-April 2022, the most profitable crypto-asset of the two leading crypto-assets was Ethereum.

For example, a single Innosilicon A11 Pro ether mining rig processing the Ethash algorithm at 1.5 GH/s costs $0.12 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electricity, resulting in an estimated profit of $51.58 per day. However, at the time of writing, this mining rig purchased directly from Innosilicon will cost the buyer $18,888 or 0.468090 BTC.

According to the company’s website, a single Innosilicon A10 Pro+ ether mining rig (0.7 GH/s) will cost $9,000 or 0.223042 BTC. After accounting for the purchase price, a single 0.7 GH/s or 700 megahashes per second (MH/s) Innosilicon A10 Pro+ can earn $25.28 per day.

The most profitable bitcoin miner in mid-April 2022 is the Bitmain Antminer S19 Pro, a machine that processes the SHA256 consensus algorithm at 110 terahashes per second (TH/s). Using today’s Bitcoin (BTC) exchange rates, a single Antminer S19 Pro would make $13.74 in profit per day.

Using today’s BTC exchange rate and an electricity bill of $0.12 per kWh, Microbt’s 110 TH/s Whatsminer M30S++ would earn you $13.52 per day. At press time, the Antminer S19 Pro costs $9,460 each and the Whatsminer M30S++ costs $7,997 each.

Just recently, Bitmain announced the launch of two new Bitcoin (BTC) miners called Antminer S19 XP (140 TH/s) and Antminer S19 Pro+ Hyd (198 TH/s). Using today’s BTC exchange rate and an electricity bill of $0.12 per kWh, the S19 XP could make a profit of $20.73 per day.

While Bitmain’s S19 Pro+ Hyd uses the same data, it currently earns $25.89 per day. In addition to Bitmain, Microbt also released a new Bitcoin miner called Whatsminer M50S (126 TH/s) and M50 (114 TH/s). According to the two mining manufacturers, the S19 XP, S19 Pro+ Hyd, M50S and M50 will ship in the third quarter of 2022.

In addition to Ethash and SHA256 miners, ASICs that can mine Kadena, Scrypt and X11 are also profitable. Kadena miners mine KDA, while Scrypt devices can mine litecoin (LTC), dogecoin (DOGE), digibyte (DGB), and more. And the X11 machine can mine Dash (DASH), Cannabis Coin (CANN) and Axe (AXE).

Kadena ASIC miners can get around $50.05 per day, while Scrypt miners can get around $51.11 per day. Using current exchange rates and an electricity cost of $0.12 per kWh, the top X11 mining rig can generate around $16.96 per day.
